Green flowering pipeline strips
Mown utility grass becomes a connected flowering corridor, together with the municipalities.
Why this project.
Hundreds of kilometres of pipeline run under strips of mown grass. Nothing may be built on them and nothing deep-rooted may grow there, which is exactly what makes them useful: they are already a continuous line across the region.
Changing what is sown and how often it is cut turns that line into a corridor species can travel along. The strips cross several municipalities, so the work is done with them rather than around them.
